The British Virgin Islands are world-renowned for their turquoise waters, secluded shores, and upscale charm. Chartering a luxury catamaran like Endless Summer III means you have exclusive access to the islands’ best beach bars—where unforgettable cocktails meet breathtaking beachside ambiance. Whether docked or moored, here are the top watering holes everyone sailing in the BVI should experience:
Perhaps the most famous beach bar in the Caribbean, Soggy Dollar Bar in White Bay is a must-visit. Its name comes from the days when visitors had to swim ashore, soggy bills in hand. Today, it's still common to anchor offshore and wade in. The bar is home to the original Painkiller cocktail, a smooth blend of dark rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, orange juice, and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Bet you can't have just one! Lounge in a hammock, browse the boutique, and soak up the fun vibes from this iconic beachfront spot.
Insider Tip: Arrive before noon to secure a mooring ball and avoid the crowds.

Tipsy is a beachfront bar and grill located on Cow Wreck Beach on the northeast side of Anegada, the northernmost island in the BVI. You can't boat to Tipsy, because of the reef on this side of the island, but a cab will take you there, or many people choose to rent an open-air truck to explore the island. Known for its stylish design, colorful cocktails, and relaxed yet upscale vibe, it’s a favorite among charter crews and travelers. Lounge in a cabana, float in the clear waters, or stay for a sunset DJ session.
Insider Tip: Try their signature Tipsy Rum Punch and pair it with fresh lobster tacos for the ultimate island indulgence.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is Saba Rock, a stylish overwater retreat, recently rebuilt and more luxurious than ever. When moored at North Sound, this over water bar and restaurant is a must-stop for sunset cocktails on the terrace, and live music in the evenings. The bar serves everything from high-end rum flights to custom tropical cocktails.
Insider Tip: There is also a more casual bar and restaurant upstairs, with games, comfy seating, and great views.

Why go to the bar when the bar can come to you? The Rum Runner is a cocktail service that delivers frozen drinks straight to your boat in the North Sound. Whether you're anchored near Saba Rock, Leverick Bay, or Bitter End, you can call in your order for ice-cold Painkillers, bushwackers, or piña coladas, and have them hand-delivered by dinghy.
Insider Tip: Follow their Instagram or VHF updates to find out when and where they’re making the rounds.

A favorite stop for BVI yacht charters, Cooper Island Beach Club blends laid-back island vibes with upscale amenities. Enjoy beachfront craft cocktails at the beautiful open-air bar or on the beach with your toes in the sand. Or head to the on-site Rum Bar featuring over 280 rums from around the globe. Cooper Island also boasts a solar-powered microbrewery—the first of its kind in the BVI—offering small-batch beers brewed right on the island. It's an idyllic place to relax after a day of snorkeling or diving nearby.
Insider Tip: Try a rum tasting flight at the bar before grabbing a growler from the microbrewery to take back to your boat.

One of the greatest pleasures of a BVI sailing charter is the ability to drop anchor near some of the Caribbean’s best beach bars—often reachable only by boat or tender. Of course, our charter guests enjoy award-winning cocktails while staying aboard Endless Summer III, but it's always fun to explore the local beach bars off the boat as well.
